Well, congress has passed the Intelligence Reform bill. All that is left now is for the President to sign it. I'm wondering how this will affect my little world (I'm a Govt. Contractor).
You should read the article to see what other things are included in the bill besides just creating the position of Director of National Intelligence. I especially found this one interesting:
Creates a Privacy and Civil Liberties Board of private citizens, with access to all government agencies, to oversee privacy protections
It also:
Adds 2,000 Border Patrol agents and 800 immigration and customs agents every year for the next five years
That's a lot of new Federal Employees! That's great for the job market and bad for our taxes I'm sure.

what the hells going on? republicans are supposed to reduce the size of the gov't not increase it...
Now we have a new intelligence czar, a new department (homeland security) with that czar, i think Bush has it backwards
