No-Fly Watch List

Well, I had a good laugh when my friend Joe's name showed up on the No-Fly watch list. He couldn't check in online or even at the automated kiosk. He had to go to a person at the counter to check in. What makes this even more humorous is the fact that he is a Government employee with a security clearance. Well, I guess karma is a bitch. Now MY name is on the watch list. If the name "Michael Jones" is on the list, just how many people in this country are affected??? The woman behind the counter said it's because it's a common name. This makes me wonder if, when they went to the heightened alert status due to the bombings in London, they put all common names on the list. I don't know, either way I was flying Southwest and ended up in the C group because I couldn't check in ahead of time. How irritating!!

I'm back!

I made it home ok. The trip wasn't as much of a waste of time as I expected it to be, but I still hate those short stays. It seems like I spent as much time in the air as I did in San Diego (not quite, but it's close). Oh well, all in all it was a successful trip.

In San Diego

Well, I made it to San Diego ok. The flight was uneventful (always a good thing). The hotel is nice and the weather is FANTASTIC.

I'm off again!

Well, I have been terrible about updating my blog lately. This post makes a grand total of 3 so far this month. Now, I'm off to San Diego for a couple of days. I leave Wednesday morning and return home Friday night. I'm almost spending as much time in the air as I am in San Diego. Oh well, that's work for ya!

War of the Worlds

Heather and I saw "War of the Worlds" on Monday. It was a REALLY good movie. The special effects were great. I never read the book or saw the original movie, so I can't compare those. But I really enjoyed this one.
