I still own my 1997 Mustang GT. I got it in November of 1996 and it has over 161,000 miles on it!
1997 Mustang GT
Current Upgrades include Synthetic Oil, a K&N air filter, the air silencer has been removed, BAER Track front brake kit w/Performance Friction Z-Rated brake fluid, a set of Ford Racing 3.27 gears, and 9MM wires.
I have just added a new exhaust. I now have Motorsport shorty headers, Bassani x-pipe with high flow cats and a Dynomax cat back. Listen to what it sounds like now (~487k file).
Well, after 140,000 miles, it had to happen. I have replaced my clutch with a Motorsport King Cobra clutch kit.
My suspension was toast. I guess I can't complain since it was the original shocks and struts at 146,000 miles. I replaced it with the Mustang Racing MRT Street Performance kit. The kit lowered my car about 1 1/4 inches which has given the saying "Hit the road" a whole new meaning. It handles quite well though! I'll try to get a new picture up soon.
My previous car was a 1967 Chevelle. 305 w/Edelbrock Intake, Holley 4 barrel Carb, Cam, K&N Air Filter, NGK V-Power plugs and that nice original 2 speed powerglide transmission (kills the 1/4 mile times…). This car was my daily driver for 5 yrs!
